DORIS -June 2026

New point at Cachoiera-Paulista (CADC)
The DORIS station at CACHOEIRA-PAULISTA (Brazil) was completely renovated: the antenna was moved to the ground some 45m west in order to provide a better environment for the antenna and the whole equipment was upgraded.(see dorismail 1488).

Corrected sign for the Z component of the tie between RIMB and RIMC in the file containing the list of tie vectors between successive DORIS antenna locations in the same site (internal ties) accessible via ftp; https. (Apr 27 2026)

DORIS - March 2026

New site at Kanpur (KANC):  
A new DORIS station has recently been installed in Kanpur, India. This station is dedicated to the IDS for scientific purposes (off the orbitography permanent network) (see dorismail 1474).

DORIS - January 2026

New point at Tristan da Cunha (TRJC)
The DORIS antenna at TRISTAN DA CUNHA has been replaced to overcome power loss and disruption on the 400MHz channel (see dorismail 1464).

DORIS - November 2025

Sentinel-6B was launched on November 17, 20025, with DORIS on board (see Aviso news)

DORIS - May 2025

New point at Kerguelen (KEZC)
The DORIS antenna at KERGUELEN Islands (French Southern and Antarctic Lands) has been replaced in order to overcome recurrent power loss and disruption on the 400MHz channel for a year (see dorismail 1440).

New point at Le Lamentin (LAPB)
The DORIS station at LE LAMENTIN (French West Indies) has recently been moved to the ground some 70m northeast in order to provide a better environment for the antenna (see dorismail 1438).

New version of the file tie vectors from DORIS to other techniques  (see dorismail 1434).

DORIS - January 2025

New tandem phase between Jason-3 and Sentinel-6 MF:
Jason-3 is returning to a tandem phase with Sentinel-6 MF during 4 months in 2025. A series of orbital maneuvers is being performed beginning on January 7, 2025, for about 3 weeks to allow Jason-3 to reach the orbit of Sentinel-6 MF and fly behind it with a one minute delay (see DORISmail 1422).

ITRF 2020 onboard DORIS
The terrestrial positions-velocities calculated on board by the DIODE navigator are therefore expressed in ITRF2020 (see DORISmail 1423).

New point at Owenga (OWGC): 
The DORIS station at Owenga (Chatham Island, New Zealand) was replaced following a breakdown last July (see DORISmail 1424).

New point at Everest (EVEC): 
The DORIS station at Everest (Nepal) was completely renovated: the antenna was moved to a new support 20 m north to get a better environment and the whole equipment was upgraded (see DORISmail 1415).

New site at Ulaanbaatar (ULAC):  
A new DORIS station has recently been installed in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
(see dorismail 1406)

DORIS - July 2024

New point at Male (MAMC).
The DORIS antenna at MALE has been replaced in order to overcome signal power loss and disruption since late December 2023 (see dorismail 1400).

DORIS - April 2024

New point at Höfn (HOGC).
The DORIS antenna at HOFN has been replaced in order to overcome power loss and disruption over the past few months (see dorismail 1392).

DORIS - February 2024

New point at Crozet (CRRC).
The DORIS antenna at CROZET has been replaced in order to overcome recurrent power loss and disruption (see dorismail 1385).

New point at Rothera (ROBC).
The DORIS station at ROTHERA (Antarctica) is back to operation after a year outage due to a problem with the routing of the spare equipment. The antenna was replaced (see dorismail 1384).

DORIS - January 2024

New point at Rikitea (RIMC).
The DORIS station at RIKITEA (Gambier Islands, French Polynesia) was completely renovated in order to better meet the DORIS system requirements. The antenna was moved to a new support 21 m southeast and the whole equipment was upgraded (see dorismail 1378).

DORIS - October 2023

New point at Gavdos (GAVC) 
After a first occupation from 2003 to 2014, DORIS is back to Gavdos Island in Crete, Greece.
A new DORIS station has recently been installed at the new ESA Permanent Facility for Altimetry Calibration (GVD1 Cal/Val site) in Gavdos Island (see dorismail 1367).

New version of the file tie vectors from DORIS to other techniques  (see dorismail 1369).

New point at Santa Cruz (SCSC)
The DORIS station at SANTA CRUZ, Galapagos, Ecuador was recently upgraded with 4th generation beacon and Starec C antenna (see dorismail 1358).

New point at Marion Island (MAVC)
The DORIS station at MARION ISLAND was recently upgraded with 4th generation beacon and Starec C antenna (see dorismail 1355).

New site at Hanga Roa (HROC). 
A new DORIS station has recently been installed in Easter Island, Chile, at Hanga Roa (see dorismail 1353).

New point at Nouméa (NOXC)

The DORIS station at NOUMEA (New Caledonia, South Pacific) was recently upgraded with 4th generation beacon and Starec C antenna (see dorismail 1343).

DORIS - November 2022

New point at Futuna (FUUC)

The DORIS station at FUTUNA (French overseas collectivity, South Pacific) was recently upgraded with 4th generation beacon and C antenna, and has been back to operation after more than 2-year outage (see dorismail 1339).

New point at San Juan (SJVC)

The DORIS station at SAN JUAN (Argentina) was recently upgraded with 4th generation beacon and C antenna, and has been back to operation after a 2-year outage.(see dorismail 1323).

Removal Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (SAKB)
The DORIS station at YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, Russia, has been definitively removed (see dorismail 1321).

Removal Krasnoyarsk (KRBB)
The DORIS station at KRASNOYARSK, Russia, has been definitively removed (see dorismail 1320).

DORIS - April 2022

Jason3 on interleaved orbit.
A series of maneuvers beginning on April 7, 2022 placed Jason-3 in an interleaved orbit with Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich which became the new Reference Altimetry Mission from that date (see dorismail 1139).

DORIS - October 2021

New point at Male (MALC).
The DORIS station in Maldives was completely renovated in order to better meet the DORIS system requirements. The antenna was moved to a new support 27 m northeast and the whole equipment was changed (see dorismail 1292).

New point at La Réunion (see dorismail 1285). The DORIS station equipment has been replaced in order to overcome recurrent power loss and disruption. The position of the antenna reference point slightly changed.

Following required modification in the antenna support of the DORIS station at KERGUELEN Islands (French Southern and Antarctic Lands), the position of the antenna reference point shifted slightly. (see dorismail 1278)

DORIS - November 2020

Sentinel-6A a new DORIS mission in orbit (dorismail 1252)

Jason-3/DORIS instrument was forced to stand-by mode on 2020/10/27 and restarted on 2020/10/29 (dorismail 1249)

DORIS - October 2020

New site Höfn.
A new DORIS station has recently been installed at Höfn (Iceland), in the geodetic observatory of the National Land Survey of Iceland (LMI) (see dorismail 1246). This new station replaces the former DORIS station of Reykjavik (see dorismail 1247).

HY-2A DORIS data are no longer distributed since September 12. Since June 11, the satellite has been in "orbit maintenance mode" with all payloads on board stopped (altimeter, radiometer...), except DORIS which remained on. Then, on September 11, NSOAS stopped the distribution of DORIS data (see dorismail 1243).
